Monthly presence at Shopper’s Drug Mart
In order to build and maintain relationships with potential clients who visit Shopper’s Drug Mart and as an opportunity to network with other companies related to seniors healthcare, you can find me at Shopper’s every Seniors Day (on the 3rd Thursday of every month). I’m there to answer any questions you might have. Continuing Education
The field of research is continually broadening with regard to many medical issues that Premier Homecare Services helps deal with and manage every day. Continuing education is important to me and is part of my mandate so I’m often sitting in a symposium at the local university or listening in on a webinar in order to keep up-to-date on the latest news and information about brain injuries, dementia, Parkinson’s and other illnesses.
Volunteering to help end Elder Abuse
Working to end elder abuse is important to me on a professional and personal level. Everyone in the community – especially seniors – should be informed about elder abuse and know the rights of seniors, recognize the signs and help take steps to prevent it. I volunteer for the Waterloo Region Elder Abuse Committee (WRCEA) and currently sit on the Consultation Committee. As a 1st responder I, along with other volunteers, respond to phone calls and can provide a list of short term “safe shelters” to callers in need of shelter from an abusive situation.
