Yet as it happens, on May 3rd, Watson was on hand in Mont Tremblent to accept the accolade – on behalf of his company, Premier Homecare Services – as the 2010 CFA Award of Excellence in Franchising Category Winner for “Traditional Franchises – New/Emerging,” presented by the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA).

The CFA’s Award of Excellence in Franchising is presented in recognition of excellence in franchisor/franchisee relationships. “When I opened our first office 7 years ago, I was looking only to provide care to individuals in Toronto,” explains Watson. “It wasn’t until quite a few years later when I noted that the Canadian homecare market was surprisingly underserviced by ‘Canadian-made’ franchises that I really began to think about franchising the Premier Homecare Services model. It’s been a long and arduous journey since then but this latest recognition by the CFA only affirms that we’ve been heading in the right direction. We’re on the cusp of something great!”
