Our President, David J. Watson was inspired to start a homecare business while assisting his mother, father and in-laws through their life transitions. Researching his options for his mother’s care and not finding the quality of services that best suited his families’ needs, David realized he could make a difference, not just in the senior care industry but by providing reliable and compassionate services for people of all ages in the Toronto, Ontario area.

Premier Homecare Services was founded in November of 2003. David designed the first Premier Logo (right) which prominently featured included his parents… His inspiration behind Premier.
After setting up the infrastructure David got to work. Through advertising, appearing on City TV, knocking on doors, handing out flyers and many other marketing tasks David acquired his first client and has never looked back. He met with caregivers, clients and their families and developed a solid company foundation… the PREMIER wheels were rolling!
It wasn’t long before the phones were ringing steadily and business was growing. With a strong commitment to our corporate values, to community based resources and education, and most especially to PREMIER customer service, we quickly became known as a professional and reliable homecare company where all clients are made to feel like family.
Premier Homecare Services incorporated at the start of January 2005 and in the autumn of that year Premier went through a creative re-branding process to develop a new logo (right), tag-line and consistent company image.
In November 2007 David decided it was time to share his success with those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to help others. In March 2008, David purchased a franchised homecare business called Angel Associates out of Kitchener, Ontario with 5 franchises already operating in Ontario. The transition over to Premier Homecare Services was a great success leading to strong growth under their new relationship.
Today, Premier Homecare Services remains a dynamic and growing company that has encountered much success. We are proud to say that we have carved a name for ourselves in the health care industry by providing quality care for people of all ages regardless of their care needs. We do this through our exceptional caregivers and with our passion for what we do.
Premier Homecare Services has franchise opportunities to join our growing team, making a difference throughout Canada and the United States.
The next chapter is ours to write together…

Premier Homecare Services is not only just a service provider for the in-home care industry, nor is it strictly in the senior care industry. Rather, it is in the business of building strong, healthy communities. Its partners – hospitals, retirement homes, long-term care facilities, community and seniors centres, seniors’ consultants, financial planners, medical professionals, etc. – are in this same business of community wellness. It is by the synergy of our organizations’ combined effort, through our professional networks and collaborations that the business of building strong, healthy communities actually occurs.
Anyone familiar with the aging business understands that there is an amazing deluge of decisions to be made by any individual requiring service. Anybody facing such decisions alone would easily feel overwhelmed. Even if that person has a large and motivated family to advocate for them, the overwhelming slew of providers and services would be altogether confusing. Professional networks strive to aid those people in making decisions; maintaining a condition where anybody at any place in the network has the knowledge and tact to expertly advise somebody on their decisions or to refer them to someone that can. An individual’s wellbeing is addressed. Family caregivers are empowered. A community is strengthened.
When any one organization refuses to look past its own operations, when it fails to see the true depth of its industry’s complexity, when it becomes afflicted with a stifling case of short-sightedness or myopia, it degrades that potential for professional networking synergy. That myopia is precisely what Premier Homecare Services strives to eliminate.
The Premier Homecare Services blog will seek to uncover those stunted issues, those topics characteristic short-sightedness where insufficient investigation results in confusion and misinterpretation. Exploring topics from the merely technical to the wholly conceptual, it will aim to educate and inform professionals, caregivers, families and anybody who wishes to become more proficient toward the issues at hand. You are invited to make comment on any entry – discussion is a central means of uncovering core issues. New material will be published every second Thursday so be sure to check back to the Premier Homecare Services’ blog.
