Our President, David J. Watson was inspired to start a homecare business while assisting his mother, father, and in-laws through their life transitions. While researching his options for his mother’s care and not finding the quality of services that best suited his families’ needs, David realized he could make a difference, not just in the senior care industry, but by providing reliable and compassionate services for people of all ages.
Inspiration, Passion & Drive
Premier Homecare Services was founded in November of 2003. David opened his first office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, intending to service Toronto surrounding region. He designed the first Premier Logo (shown right) which prominently featured his parents… his inspiration behind Premier Homecare Services.
After setting up the infrastructure, David got to work. Through advertising, appearing on television, knocking on doors, handing out flyers and many other marketing tasks, David acquired his first client and has since never looked back. He met with caregivers, clients and their families and began the journey of developing a solid company foundation… the PREMIER wheels were rolling!
Building a Reputation in the Community
It wasn’t long before the phones were ringing steadily and business was growing. With a strong commitment to community based resources and education, and most especially a commitment to PREMIER customer service, Premier Homecare Services quickly became known as a professional and reliable home care company where all clients are made to feel like family.
Premier Homecare Services incorporated at the start of January of 2005 and in the autumn of that year Premier went through a creative re-branding process to develop a new logo, tag-line and consistent company image.
Accreditation Canada – An Elite Industry Standard
In early 2010, Premier Homecare Services successfully underwent a comprehensive assessment by Accreditation Canada in order to achieve the industry elite standard. A number of franchise office locations across Ontario and British Columbia were successful in achieving their Accreditation status, either for the first time or as a renewal.
The success of this assessment was no small order and demanded months and months and months of painstaking preparation across the system. Its completion demonstrates the professionalism and cooperation of the whole Premier Homecare Services team – employees and franchise owners alike.
